Damian Callinan Double Feature | Melbourne International Comedy Festival DATES: 31 March - 24 April LOCATION: The Greek Centre Mykonos, 168 Lonsdale St, Melbourne WEBSITE: https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/2022/shows/double-feature# The surprise discovery of his mother’s 1946 diary leads three-time Barry Award nominee Damian Callinan on a cinematic, romantic romp through post-war Melbourne. However, her diary poses more questions than it does answers. With suitors lining up for 19-year-old Kathleen Purcell, will Jack Bowlen ever get the Canadian two step right? Will Ron Rogan keep his hands to himself? But most importantly for Damian’s very existence, will she notice the dapper fly boy who has just returned from active service? His mother’s charming journal is hilariously contrasted with his father Adrian’s retirement diary that bookends his parent’s loving relationship and sadly, reveals the tragedy that brought it to an end. The creator and star of the Netflix hit film The Merger uses his powerful gift for storytelling to recast his parents in a funny and poignant double feature of love and loss. Please follow Jeanette Russell's review: Be Like Water is a catchy song with rhythm, soul. Some masterful guitar playing is involved. This is Greg Nunan's second single from their new album called' This is a recording". The blues rock song has great vocals from Greg , he plays guitar as well as song writing, a very gifted man by all accounts. Also strumming on guitar is Felix Akurangi, Mark Holbert is on Bass and Liam Chandler is playing the drums. Their first album was called "Kites For Hurricanes". The guys have toured Oz, and also overseas. The song's message seems to me to be, be adaptable like Water, and how it fits the shape of its vessel. As Bruce Lee had said many times in the past, in interviews, and a documentary, " Be Water" The band has launched their new single "Be Like Water" at Northern Beaches, NSW, at Bucketty's Brewing Company where a new craft beer was created with the same name and released at the same time as the single. Below are the official release details also in Northern Beaches . Well worth catching the tune please look out for "Be like Water" by Greg Nunan and the General Jackson's band. Nunan is a very talented man and the band members are skillful players. Please have a listen to their latest song. Saturday April 2 - Bucketty’s Brewing Co. Occupied Paris, 1941: all members of the Jewish community are instructed to come forward and identify themselves to authorities. Dedicated jeweller Joseph Haffmann (Auteuil), fearing the worst, arranges for his family to flee the city and offers his employee François Mercier (Gilles Lellouche) the chance to take over his store until the conflict subsides. But his own attempts to escape are thwarted, and Haffmann is forced to seek his assistant’s protection. It’s a risky proposition for both men, and one that Mercier’s wife Blanche (a wonderful Sara Giraudeau) is sceptical of. As the couple move in to the Haffmann home, the agreement turns into a Faustian bargain, one that will forever change the fate of all... Superbly directed by Cavayé, FAREWELL, MR. HAFFMANN masterfully guides the viewer through the world of Vichy France, where lives are irrevocably shaped by the twin scourges of war and the black market. Rich in moral complexity and empathy, with several twists too good to spoil, this is grand, big-screen adult entertainment at its finest. please follow Katherine Kelly's review published: http://bohemianrhapsodyclub.weebly.com/la-premiere.html Australian Toy Association together with Cavanagh PR invite you to: Australian Toy Hobby & Licensing Fair DATES: 28 March - 1 April LOCATION: virtually WEBSITE: https://austoy.com.au/toy-fair The Internationally acclaimed event that showcases new and exciting Toys each year has once again gone Digital For 2022, to ensure a safe and effective event.
